How to get to Baguio City from Nueva Vizcaya
The Baguio-Nueva Vizcaya Road, also known as the Baguio-Aritao Road or Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road, is the newest road system that connects the northeastern to the northwestern Luzon provinces in the Philippines.
Many folks think that Baguio City is located close to the Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao Province, which is located north of Nueva Vizcaya province in the Philippines.
The truth is, they are located on opposite ends of the Cordillera Region of the Philippines. It used to take the same length of time to get to Banaue from Baguio as it would to get there from Manila.
The good news is that there is now a newly-refurbished road system that cuts travel time by about 3 hours from Baguio City. While travel time to Banaue would still take about 8-9 hours from Manila from the City of Pines, the trip to see the world-famous Banaue Rice Terraces would take just about 6 hours instead.
You see, travelers used to have to head south from Baguio City to Rosales Pangasinan, turn left and start heading eastward, passing through Umingan, Pangasinan until one reached San Jose, Nueva Ecija to turn left again heading north. Then there would be that northward climb up Dalton Pass to Nueva Vizcaya until one reached Ifugao province.

With the opening of this road, am sure it paves the way for some more breathtaking sceneries. The way to baguio via Pampanga, Tarlac and Pangasinan is all straights and there's just too many vehicles and PUVs plying the route.
